Read About Our Pay + Rules When Hired for Gigs: *Average Pay is $25/hr for up to 10 hr days. This varies slightly by state income averages. If you choose to stay longer hours you will be paid Time and a Half for up to 5 additional hours. You are under no obligation to stay late. Time starts when your first game starts. If you arrive early for training this time is only to help you succeed when paid time starts. *You can take breaks whenever you like, although we ask you to get all your photos and not miss it due to a break. If you leave for lunch longer than 30 minutes, this time will not be included in paid time. Lunch is once per shift. Bring food/water/sunblock if you need it. Not every venue has food/drink/water close by. *NO SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED. You can use your own equipment, unless the equipment doesn't meet the standard of what we are photographing. In that case you can use our equipment, if available. *You must be athletic enough to stand for multiple hours, be out in all weather conditions & stay out of the way of live games. *You MUST have a basic understanding of photography, using DSLR/Mirrorless professional/Prosumer Cameras and how to control exposure on manual settings. Auto settings are not allowed. *You will be expected to keep up an average quota of photos taken per team/per person you're assigned. Some photos are mandatory coverage and other photos are your choice as long as you're keeping up your numbers. This is a job where you are constantly busy, people who stand around getting little to nothing will not be paid and asked to leave. *You must work well with families and be able to work around children. Former/current baseball and softball players are preferred for jobs photographing baseball/softball. Preference will be given if you have played the sport you are photographing or have similar training. *You can be a new photographer & no experience is necessary, but we are more likely to hire you if you have samples of past event/sports work to show us. Work is not guaranteed and can be canceled due to things like weather. *If you show up and cannot take basic photos regularly no pay will be given. Please check in with us often to make sure your work is meeting up to expectation to make sure your time is being spent well. *We try to be as fair as possible and train you to some degree to fit in well with the work site, but not all photographers (even professional ones) are suited for this work. Unless we have agreed to something beforehand in writing, you will not get fees for travel, lodging or gas. If you expect this, it needs to be worked out in advance. If your work is subpar you will not receive travel funds or may receive less than agreed upon your finishing the job. We try to be as fair as possible. Talk with us about concerns you may have.
